The divas of the 30s inspire the pieces of Atelier Sandro Barros and Sandro Barros Blue Label.
The premiere of an imaginary film bringing together the great stars who immortalized the glamorous Hollywood silver screen is the starting point of the Hollywood Boulevard collection of the lines Atelier and Blue Label by the stylist Sandro Barros. "I thought of a cocktail at the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, bringing together the divas that have always inspired me, like Marlene Dietrich, Jean Harlow, Sophia Loren, Joan Crawford and Greta Garbo. It was they who transposed the glamor of the movies into the streets, mysterious, strong, clean, beautiful, "says Sandro.
Silhouettes flowing and fluttering in silk chiffon cut in bias with lots of frills, necklines and crevices dominate the collection, permeated by corselet bases in organza and transparent lace that structure the dresses. Pleated and draped refer to the classic Greco-Roman aesthetic that set the tone of the era. "Some of the dresses are behind, making the woman leave a cloud of smoke while walking, like the cigarettes that hung from the long cigarette holders, inseparable from these actresses," says the stylist. A very sexy line features dresses with beige lining and inlaid black lace and tulle point d'esprit. "Sexy in the 1930s was suggested, something distant and unattainable that created an aura of mystery around women."
Non-colors dominate: black, black and white, nude, beige, but there is also room for the cherry, the galactic marine and light shades of yellow, pink and jade.
Sandro Barros Blue Label's tradition, silk shirts come with pleats, pleated beads and ruffles. For the first time, they get a tricoline version.
Also unheard of in Sandro's universe, a line of ruffled blouses with localized embroidery and fringes, as well as feather boleros, serves as a joker for party looks and to create a high-low daytime. "They are ultraglamorous pieces that can be perfectly broken with jeans," says Sandro.
The photos of the collection are of the photographer Gaucho Nattan Carvalho and had scenery of Luiz Mello and André Pedrotti, jewelry by Izabel Esteves, Silvia Furmanovich and Daniela Norinder, Sabrina hats and Stiff Legwear socks. The hair was made by Mitiko of the Hall Space K1 and the makeup is of Ney Garcia, of the hall 1838.
